Son of Muddy Waters to play Camden

We’re reading Keith Richards’ autobiography at the moment and one thing you learn about him very early on in his story is that he’s a mega Muddy Waters fan. He likes him A LOT. The blues player influenced the Rolling Stones in their early days back in the sixties, and has inspired countless other musicians over the years, even achieving the accolade of Rolling Stone magazine’s 11th greatest artist OF ALL TIME.

Unfortunately we’re never going to get the chance to see him play live, but this Sunday Camden will play host to the next best thing when his eldest son Mud Morganfield makes a very special appearance at The Blues Kitchen. Said to be just as good as his old dad, this is a man you need to see if you take your musical education at all seriously.

Mud is kicking off the start of the venue’s week-long Festival of Rhythm and Blues, which will see plenty more legends take to the stage. You can find the full details here – http://www.theblueskitchen.com/whats-on/
